Well-established Orthopaedic Group seeks to add an additional Physician Assistant to the team.
This PA will be part of a fast moving mid-level team that will work directly support four Fellow-ship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon that handles a good volume of total joints, sports as well as fracture and general cases. The position consists of up to 3 days in the Hospital and two day in the Clinic.
Responsibilities include First Assists: running clinics, fracture care, ED consults, admit and discharges and rounding. Patient evaluations, injections, rounding, injection clinics, patient education, ordering diagnostic tests, writing prescriptions, discharge reports and reviewing lab results. In addition, if desired the new PA can work in their Ortho urgent care facility (extra compensation). There is call of ¼ weekends (phone).
Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified/eligible, organized, self-starter, able to work independently and able to work in a team-oriented environment.
The group will train a very bright and self-motivated PA with an Ortho rotation! New graduates must have an orthopaedic rotation, and be local and available to start within 60 days. There is an excellent benefit package!
