Utilizing advanced health assessment, knowledge and decision making skills, the nurse practitioner works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. ( 3 Physicians and 7 APCs) Nurse practitioners provide healthcare to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.
Urgent Care Clinic Hours: M-F 8a-8p Weekends: Saturdays 9a-4p Sundays 9a-4p
Convenient Care Clinic Hours: Open 7 Days a week 8a-8p
•The Average Number of Urgent Care Patients seen in an hour per provider would be about 6-8.
•The Average Number of Convenient Care Patients seen in an hour would be about 2-3.
Must have ability to work independently.
Experience in suturing, minor surgical procedures and splinting highly desirable.
PA: Bachelor’s degree in a health/science-related field.
NP: Master’s degree in nursing. (FNP)
1. Current licensure as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner in MN. (NP) Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state.
2. Current certification in CPR.
3. National certification.
4. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
