Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon seeks to add a full-time experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant to his team. This position is mostly clinic, but if desired, the Physician Assistant maybe able to work half a day in the OR. The focus in the clinic is treating patients with general orthopedic cases including hip and knee related injuries, shoulders and general etc. The new Physician Assistant will run their own orthopedic clinic (new and follow-up patients).
Responsibilities include: patient evaluations, injections, first assisting, removing casts and pins, reductions, consultation, rounds and patient evaluation and education, writing prescriptions and reviewing lab results in a clinic setting. Preference is for Physician Assistants with direct experience in orthopedics, but will train the right candidate especially a new graduate with a background in Kinesiology, ATC, PT or Ortho Tech etc. The location is 25 minutes into Greensboro which offers several colleges, culture, and a variety of outdoor sports, growing corporate centers and a great quality of life. It also offers four seasons and easy access to the beautiful mountains and coastlines of the Carolinas. Physician Assistants from the region are preferred.
Compensation: Salary depends on experience. Additionally, there is a full benefits package provided which includes profit sharing plan, three weeks’ vacation, one-week CME and a flexible benefit package.
