Sports Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon seeks to add a full-time Physician Assistant. This position is approximately four days in the clinic and one day in the OR. This position is focused on treating patients with sports related orthopaedic injuries (good volume of knee and shoulders as well as some general orthopaedics). The new PA will eventually have the opportunity to run their own clinic. Also, the PA can provide event coverage and work with ATC.
Responsibilities include: patient evaluations, injections, removing casts and pins, first assist, reductions, consultation, rounds and patient evaluation and education, writing prescriptions and reviewing lab results in a clinic setting. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified/eligible, self starter, and have very strong interpersonal skills. In addition to an experienced Orthopaedic PA, the Doctor will train a new graduate with an orthopaedic rotation. The location is with one hour of Raleigh. The area offers several colleges, culture, a variety of outdoor sports, and a great quality of life. It also offers four seasons and easy access to the beautiful mountains and coastlines of the Carolinas. The group would prefer a candidate with ties to the Carolinas!
Compensation: Salary depends on experience. Additionally, there is a full benefits package provided.
