Single Specialty Group of Orthopedic Surgeons seek to add a full-time Physician Assistant. This Physician Assistant will work directly with a Sports Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon. This is a very busy practice that is well-established. This is a new state-of-the-art facility that includes their own MRI and Digital X-Ray. This doctor has a high volume of knee and shoulder injuries. The position is approximately 45 hours per week and overtime for any evening hours (after 5:00 p.m.) or call.
- Surgical first assist
- Office/clinic (patient evaluations)
- Casting and splinting
- Reduction of fractures and dislocations
- Joint aspiration and injections
- Will run parallel clinic (if very experienced)
- Pre and post-operative H&P’s and follow-ups
- Hospital rounding
- Write scripts
- Evaluate X-ray, CT Scan and MRI
Successful Physician Assistants should be NCCPA-Certified. The group prefers Physician Assistants with orthopedic experience but will train a new graduate with strong qualifications. The Physician Assistant must have excellent interpersonal skills. The location is 35 minutes to the Manhattan area on the Westchester boarder. The salary range is open.
