Major Academic Institution seeks to add another full-time Nurse Practitioner.
The position is general orthopaedics as well as treating athletes with various muscular skeletal problems with emphasis on shoulder and knee injuries. The new NP will work directly with several Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeons. The NP will work with all levels of athletes as well as the general MSK injuries.
The new NP’s day to day responsibilities include: patient evaluations, injections, removing casts and pins, reductions, consultation, rounds and patient evaluation and education, writing prescriptions, and reviewing lab results in a clinic setting. Candidates must be organized, self starter, able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. The new NP will coordinate with PT as well as ATC’s.
The group prefers NP’s with orthopaedic experience, but will train a new NP that has RN experience (minimum of five years) in any specialty and a strong desire for orthopaedics. Also, the new NP must eventually go on to complete their Doctorate Degree sometime in the future.
Compensation: Base salary open. Additionally, there is an excellent benefits package provided.
