Major Academic Institution seeks to add another full-time Pediatrics Nurse Practitioner.
The position is focused on treating (pediatric) athletes and general pediatrics cases with various muscular skeletal problems with emphasis on shoulder and knee injuries. The new NP will work directly with several Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeons.
The new NP’s day to day responsibilities include: patient evaluations, injections, removing casts and pins, reductions, consultation, rounds and patient evaluation and education, writing prescriptions, and reviewing lab results in a clinic setting. Candidates must be organized, self starter, able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. The new NP will coordinate with PT as well as ATC’s. Preferred NP with orthopaedic pediatric experience, but will train a NP that has experience (five years or more) from another or any specialty and a strong desire to work within orthopaedic area. Also, the new NP must eventually go on to complete their Doctorate Degree sometime in the future. Preferred candidates are from the region.
Compensation: Base salary open. Additionally, there is an excellent benefits package provided.
