Well-established Orthopaedic Group seeks to add a full time Physician Assistant. The new PA will work directly with an Upper Extremity Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. This position will include three days in the clinic and two days in the OR. This Doctor has a very successful and growing practice and handles some sports orthopaedic cases. Cases include upper extremities and some fracture care. This Doctor handles a strong surgical case load and they utilize the latest minimally invasive techniques. Responsibilities include: first assist, H&P’s, write scripts, coordinate with PT/OT, consultation, rounding, event coverage, and discharge summaries. They are located in a modern facility and have their own PT/OT onsite. Also, there is an opportunity to work in the Ortho Urgent Care ($115 per hour).
Successful candidate should be NCCPA-Certified. Previous orthopaedic experience is desired, but the group will train a new graduate. The new graduates should be from the region, and at a minimum, completed an orthopaedic rotation. The location is within the Greater Hartford area. The area has solid school systems and is a terrific location to raise a family. Salary range is based on experience level and includes an incentive. Additionally, there is a full benefits package provided.
