Well-established Orthopaedic Group seeks to add a full time Physician Assistant. The new PA will work directly with a Total Joint Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. This position will include three days in the clinic and two days in the OR. This Doctor has a very successful and growing practice and handles a high volume of total joints. Cases include minimally invasive surgery including hip and knee arthroscopy, rapid-recovery hip and knee replacement, uni-compartmental, knee replacement and complex revision total joint replacement. Responsibilities include: first assist, H&P’s, write scripts, coordinate with PT/OT, consultation, rounding, event coverage and discharge summaries. They are located in a modern facility and have their own PT/OT onsite. Also, there is an opportunity to work in orthopaedic urgent care ($115 per hour).
Successful candidate should be NCCPA-Certified. Previous orthopaedic experience is desired, but the group will train a new graduate. The new graduates should be from the region, and at a minimum, completed an orthopaedic rotation. The location is within the greater Hartford area. The area has solid school systems and is a terrific location to raise a family. Salary range is based on experience level and includes an incentive.
