This PA or NP will work directly with a Board Certified and Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. This position will include mostly clinic and some potential OR. This Doctor has a very successful and growing practice and handles a high volume of total joints. Cases include minimally invasive surgery including hip and knee arthroscopy, rapid-recovery hip and knee replacement, uni-compartmental, knee replacement and complex revision total joint replacement. Responsibilities include: first assist (light), H&P’s, write scripts, coordinate with PT/OT, consultation, rounding, event coverage and discharge summaries. They are located in a modern facility and have their own PT/OT onsite.
Successful candidate should be Board-Certified. Previous orthopaedic experience is desired, but the Doctor will train a new graduate. The new graduates should be from the region, and at a minimum, completed an orthopaedic rotation. The location is within the greater Hartford area. The area has solid school systems and is a terrific location to raise a family. Salary range is based on experience level and includes an incentive. Additionally, there is a full benefits package provided.
