Well-established Single Specialty Group of Orthopaedic Surgeons seek to add a full-time Physician Assistant to their team. This PA will work directly with two Spine Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeons within a very busy and successful practice. This position is a split between the OR and the clinic. Both doctors utilize the latest advances in operative and non-operative methods of diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders. The group has a state-of-the-art facility.
- Surgical first assist
- Clinic patient evaluations
- Will see patients in the clinic (follow-up)
- Injection procedures (cortisone)
- Pre and post-operative H&P’s and follow-up
- Hospital rounding
- Write scripts
- Evaluate X-ray, CT Scan and MRI
Successful candidate should be NCCPA-Certified. Previous orthopaedic/surgical experience is preferred but will train a recent graduate with a great work ethic and passion for the specialty. The PA must have excellent interpersonal skills. The area offers good school systems, reasonable cost of living and is a terrific location to raise a family with the ability to be in NYC within one hour or so. Salary is very competitive.
